Growth & Marketing

You will own the Logistics & Beyond content engine and growth channels — producing the blog, LinkedIn thought leadership, email sequences, and performance marketing that fills the top of our funnel. This is a rare opportunity to build a category-defining brand in East African logistics from the ground up, with full creative ownership and a real marketing budget from day one.

  • Own and execute the 30-day content calendar: blog posts, social content, email sequences, and LinkedIn campaigns

  • Manage LinkedIn and Facebook company pages — scheduling, community engagement, and paid amplification
  • Run and optimise LinkedIn Ads and Google Ads campaigns across all five user personas
  • Build and manage email drip sequences for onboarding, retention, and reactivation using Brevo or Mailchimp
  • Track and report on content performance: organic traffic, lead generation, email open rates, and paid ad ROI
  • Lead A/B testing on landing pages, email subject lines, and ad creatives
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to turn user stories into case studies and testimonials
  • Manage the referral programme content and communications
  • Identify and build relationships with East African logistics industry publications and thought leaders
You need
  • 3+ years in B2B content marketing, growth, or demand generation
  • Exceptional writing in English — able to write about logistics with authority and clarity
  • Hands-on experience with LinkedIn Ads and Google Ads
  • Experience managing email marketing platforms (Brevo, Mailchimp, or equivalent)

Product

You will be the connective tissue between our users, our engineering team, and our business goals — translating the realities of East African logistics into a product roadmap that actually ships. You will work directly with our Laravel and frontend engineers, spend real time with freight forwarders and transporters understanding their workflows, and own the full product lifecycle from discovery to delivery.

  • Own the Logistics & Beyond product roadmap, prioritising features based on user research, business impact, and technical feasibility
  • Conduct regular discovery sessions with all five user personas — logistics managers, freight forwarders, transporters, warehouse managers, and customers
  • Write clear, detailed product specifications and user stories for the engineering team
  • Define and track product success metrics: activation rates, feature adoption, retention, and NPS
  • Lead sprint planning and prioritisation in collaboration with the engineering lead
  • Manage the mobile app development roadmap (iOS and Android)
  • Own the platform onboarding flow and activation funnel, working with Customer Success to reduce time-to-value
  • Identify and scope API and integration opportunities with partner platforms
  • Synthesise user feedback, support tickets, and analytics into actionable product decisions
  • Present product updates and roadmap to the founding team and key stakeholders
You need
  • 3+ years as a Product Manager, ideally at a B2B SaaS or marketplace company
  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable working with data to make and defend decisions
  • Experience writing product specifications that engineers can work from directly
  • Excellent communication skills — able to align engineering, business, and user perspectives
  • Familiarity with agile development workflows and sprint-based delivery
Nice to have
  • Domain knowledge in logistics, freight, supply chain, or transport
  • Experience with East African tech markets or user research in East Africa
  • Basic SQL or data querying ability

Data & Analytics

You will build the analytical foundation that helps Logistics & Beyond understand its marketplace, its users, and its growth. From bid win rates and corridor utilisation to email funnel performance and CAC/LTV modelling, you will turn raw platform data into decisions. You will also own the East Africa Logistics Report — our quarterly industry publication that positions L&B as a thought leader in the region.

  • Build and maintain dashboards tracking core marketplace health metrics: order volume, bid conversion rates, average freight rates by corridor, and platform utilisation
  • Own the marketing analytics stack — GA4, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, email platform reporting — and produce weekly performance reports
  • Build and maintain the CAC/LTV model, tracking unit economics as the platform scales
  • Analyse user behaviour across all five personas to identify activation bottlenecks and retention risks
  • Design and analyse A/B tests across the product, marketing, and email channels
  • Contribute to the East Africa Logistics Report — aggregating and anonymising platform data into industry benchmarks
  • Build alerting systems for key metric deviations: drops in bid activity, unusual churn patterns, or channel performance outliers
  • Partner with the Product Manager on feature usage analytics and data-driven roadmap decisions
  • Own platform data governance and ensure user data is handled in compliance with Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019
You need
  • 2+ years in a data analyst or business intelligence role
  • Strong SQL — able to query production databases and build clean datasets independently
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (Metabase, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent)
  • Solid understanding of marketing funnel analytics and attribution
  • Comfortable presenting data findings to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
  • Experience with marketplace or multi-sided platform analytics
  • Python or R for statistical analysis
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics 4 and event-based tracking

Engineering

You will build the Logistics & Beyond mobile app — the tool that puts the platform in the hands of drivers on the Mombasa–Nairobi highway, warehouse managers on the Dar es Salaam port corridor, and freight forwarders working from their phones at customs gates. This is a greenfield mobile build, working closely with our Laravel backend to deliver a native mobile experience across iOS and Android.

  • Design and build the Logistics & Beyond mobile app for iOS and Android using React Native
  • Implement the driver-facing workflow: receive job sheets, update transport status, and upload proof of delivery from the field
  • Build the customer tracking interface: real-time cargo status, delivery notifications, and delivery confirmation
  • Integrate with the existing Laravel backend via REST API
  • Implement push notifications for bid updates, cargo status changes, and delivery milestones
  • Build offline-first capabilities for drivers operating in areas with intermittent connectivity on East African transport corridors
  • Implement M-Pesa and mobile payment flows for transporter payment collection
  • Optimise app performance for low-end Android devices common in the East African market
  • Set up crash reporting, analytics, and performance monitoring
  • Work with the Product Manager to define and iterate on the mobile product roadmap
You need
  • 3+ years building production React Native applications for iOS and Android
  • Strong understanding of REST API integration and async data management
  • Experience with push notifications, background tasks, and device camera/storage APIs
  • Published apps in the App Store and Google Play Store
  • Comfortable working in a small team with significant autonomy
Nice to have
  • Experience building offline-first mobile applications
  • Familiarity with M-Pesa Daraja API or other African payment SDK integrations
  • Experience optimising apps for low-end Android hardware
  • Background in logistics, fleet management, or field operations software

Benchmarked to East African tech salaries.
Learning budget
Courses, certifications, and conferences covered.
Health cover
Medical insurance for you and your family.
